Bottle Light

Bottle Light

In 2002 Brazilian mechanic Alfredo Moser invented a way of illuminating his workshop without using electricity.  He used a plastic bottle filled with water and some bleach. The lamp was able to give off as much light as a 40 to 60 watt light bulb. However this invention had limitations since it could not store energy or work at night.

In 2011 Liter of Light propelled Moser’s invention into an open-source lighting solution by providing an LED night light.  Liter of Light currently has 4 lighting solutions. The solar lamp, house light , street light and bottle light. Thus providing sustainable and affordable solar light to people with limited or no access to electricity.
